Time for another update. I know, it’s been quite a while but I was very busy doing other stuff. So here it is, the update on my dashboard. I’ve always had the idea of a lightweight car, not extremely but – if I can save some pounds, I do. So I ended up buying a lightweight fiberglass dashboard together with a cover for the lower switch panel.
What can I say. I mean, look at the two pictures below and form your own opinion. The fit was – not that great to be frank with you. A little short, the corners weren’t right so I ended up with fiberglass again even though I told myself years ago that I would never touch that shit again 🙂
Same with the lower switch panel cover, I didn’t like the open ends so I had to come up with something that looks like it belongs there from the factory. Too bad Ferdi can’t see what I am doing here. Long story shot, look at the pictures how it looks now.
And while I was working on the dash, I fabricated some covers for the heater blowers out of a Carrera 3.2 that I am using. For those of you who are wondering, no, the carpet will not stay!
What do you think? I know, it’s all slow, in fact, everything takes forever. But there’s the thing: I got some other things to do. Writing screenplays and books keeps me very busy.
