When John Player Special also known as JPS, the well-known tobacco brand became sponsor of the Formula 1 in 1974, Momo did a special steering wheel for them to honour the partnership. JPS stayed as a sponsor with Team Lotus until 1987 with a little break. Race cars were all black with golden John Player Special and JPS livery.
